Lumia 720 - Not getting charged

Hi,
I have a Lumia 720 mobile which runs on windows 8. From past 12 hours mobile not getting charged. It has completely switched off and using reset button i switched on again. But after connecting charger, it charges up to 15-17% . After that again battery draining to 0%.

What would be problem ? how to rectify it ?
Please help as soon as possible.

Try another charger and/or another sync cable. Sometimes the contacts wear out, or get dirty. Take some rubbing alcohol, and soak the connection end of your sync cable for a minute, or two. Take a wooden toothpick, soak the end in alcohol, and gently scrape the contacts on the USB connector in your phone. Make SURE the charger cable is not connected to electricity, and take the battery out of your phone first!
