Nokia Lumia 635 battery charging

Whenever I put my Nokia Lumia 635 on charge I switch the power off beforehand. However, it automatically seems to turn the power back on. Even when I switch it off again, it reboots itself. Is there anyway of changing it so that the it stays switched off ?

All Newer Lumia-Microsoft phones are like this.
Charging must be managed by the system in an on condition to prevent damage and overcharging.
