Lumia 720 with just a black screen with the time on the corner, won't respond, what should I do?

I have a Lumia 720 and I've always had problems with the memory. Today, I turned it off for some other reason, and ever since I turned it on again, it doesn' t even let me write my PIN. It's just a black screen with the time on the upper right corner and the battery symbel when I tap on it. It diesnt let me do anything other than look at the battery and the time, just a black screen. I connected it to my computer and it sais that I have zero bytes left of memory, does the screen thing have something to do with it? What can I do about it? I can't even see the menu, I have no access to my phone. It's Windows Phone 8.

perform a soft reset (hold power button & volume down for 10-15 seconds until phone vibrates), something is chewing up memory.

If that fails, a hard reset is required - Bing or Google search 'Lumia 720 Service manual' - @ the back of it, there's a key combination which will hard reset your phone.

BUT FIRST ...

• Plug the phone into your PC, (with the supplied cable) to see if you can offload anything
• If you have an sdcard, remove it (after you power the phone OFF) ...
