Will I get all the updates with an unlocked phone?

Update with unlocked phone

Bonjour,

I plan to by an unlocked 1520.3 RM-938 and use it on Rogers. Then how I will get my updates (os and firmware) : will they be push automatically to my phone as soon as Microsoft and Nokia(I know, now MS), put them available? or do I need to download the update on my computer, connect it my phone and update trough a user interface for that? Or what other ways?

the former, your phone will check periodically and fetch it if its available.
the pluses being that you dont have a carrier in the way, blocking or delaying updates for any reason.

although you could technically upgrade from a computer - although that will require erasing the phone. (its possible, but not the official sanctioned way)

So it's even better!? As the updates are push (no waiting from the carrier to approve) I will get them directly phone update?
