My messaging app is messed up. How can i fix this? Nokia lumia 520

New messages are being put back into my message history instead of at the bottom of the conversation so i can't find new texts. Now whenever i get a new text i have to scroll through days of old texts to find it randomly in the middle of a week old conversation. Even if i keep on deleting old conversations this still keeps happening. I've only had the phone for just over a week so shouldn't be broken already.

Have you confirmed that the date and time on the phone are set correctly?
