Ford sync not reading texts with 8.1

[WPCentral Question]

Ford sync read texts fine until 8.1 upgrade. Now it wont. Can make and receive calls, can play aux music but doesnt recognise texts anymore. Have debonded and re-paired phone, lumia 820. Have checked all bluetooth settings are as they were previously. Help!
