How do I get the Find My Phone app to make my phone ring?

Find my phone doesn't work or ring the phone

Find my phone indicates my phone was last in my house yesterday. The phone is in my house today and is on, but Find my phone cannot locate it and can't make it ring.

Do you have the options checked under it in settings? Did your phone have data connection (SIM card)?
