New search feature?

So I discovered, by accident, a feature that I was previously aware of. Did everyone, but me, know that you can highlight a word or phrase, hit the search button, and WP8.1 will instantly populate the search field and search? Mind blowingly useful to me. I've been doing copy and paste forever. Not sure if this feature was in 8.0, but I'm surprised it isn't mentioned anywhere.

UPDATE: So far it only works in Internet Explorer. No One Note or Mail.

Preview, yes. IE, not yet.
