Cross platform buying

So I bought halo Spartan assault on my 1520 only to find out I can download it on my laptop too for free... But all the other games I got on my 1520 such as modern combat 4 I have to buy again on my laptop. Any ideas why?

Are the other games Universal apps? Apps or games that are Universal only need to be bought once.

Thanks Laura. How would I know which can be downloaded again for free? Is it try and see? I downloaded GTA on my phone but have to pay again if I want to download on my laptop. Bit cheeky but I can understand in a way as its a piracy thing. But if halo can do it then others should too. I did bring this to microsofts attention in april via live chat and they said it will be done. That was in April.so hopefully this could be the start

You'll need to look for the little Universal App symbol (or look for it listed in details).
