I have the T-mobile version, and even after several hard resets, the battery life is awful. 8% on airplane mode overnight, while my 1520.3 can go a night without losing any. My 925 is updated to the latest Developer Preview; could it be because it doesn't have Cyan yet? It also tends to overheat quite easily. Should still be under warranty, too. But I have a lot of data I don't want to lose that wont be saved after a hard reset. Also, I have used the Nokia recovery tools once.

You are losing 8% overnight when you put the plane in airplane mode? That isn't awful. The Lumia 925 has a smaller battery, certainly compared to the 1520. And the phone still needs electricity to operate, even in airplane mode. If overnight for you is 8 hours, give or take, that's about 1% an hour, which I wouldn't consider unreasonable.

To clarify, 8% for some 8 hours of standby? That's 1% per hour, or over four days.

You have a problem with that? Wow. That's better than non-smart phones ever got.

See, it isn't just that. I've read people who have an estimated 1-2 days in their battery and they use their phone more than I do. Mine's estimated at less than ten hours.
