Why does my Lumia 1020 restarts when I put it to charge?

Lumia 1020 restarts wen i put it to charge

I switched off my Lumia 1020 so dat d battry could charge completley but then it restarted and switched on by itself so i switched it off again. But again it switched on when i put it to charge. Anyone else face d same problem?

It's not a problem in that your phone is malfunctioning. It is by design, Windows Phone powers on when it is charging.

Ok. Thank you. I was wondering why it switches on everytime i put it to charge after completing draining out the battery. Thank you for the reply.
