Why do I get an error message when I try to connect to the wifi?

try to connect to my password protected wi-fi, i get ' your phone is not able to reach wi-fi network

I have no problems connecting the phone to my workplace wifi , which is open.
also I have no problem connecting to the same home secure network using my lumia 920 or android. please help.

Have you tried long-pressing the Wi-Fi name and "Forgetting" or "Deleting" it? Then, try logging in again.

after entering the password to the network, i get the message your phone could not reach the wifi network....

I would go ahead and forget the network, turn WiFi off then back on again, and get a little closer to the access point for the initial connection.

done that & still no change. i can connect to thw network fine with my other phone ( lumia 920)

well i am sitting right next to my router, i heard somewhere that it could be issues with the encryption key/type on the router or something?

Just curious...but have you tried unplugging your router for a minute or so and then plugging it back in???

Check your router settings.
1.Make sure DHCP server is on.
2.try reset on router.(onlyy if you know how to setup it again)
3. Keep security on WPA2. And remember the entered password.
4.still problem not solved?? Try connecting another network on your phone.
