Is there a Task Manager that will end tasks for the Windows Phone 8.1?

I notice that some apps crash on my phone, and sometimes I see my location icon appear on the top bar. I know that this icon only appears when an app is requesting my location. How do I see a list of running apps, and running services like I do in the PC version of Windows. Thanks for your help.

My phone is dead right now so im only going on memory here... Go to settings, batter saver, swipe right and you will get a list with all the apps running. You can turn on/off how they update and if they can or can't access your location

You can also press and hold the back button and it will show any active apps living in the background. You can swipe down or tap the X to close background apps.
