Windows 8 phone not recognized by Mac Pro Retina after updating to Yosemite

Hi! Since I decided to update to yosemite, the windows phone app that I has used with Maverick isn't working. It simply doesn't recognize the Lumia phone and therefore, I cannot synch the info at all.

I have tried deleting and reloading the app, I had checked my wifi connection and I cannot think of any issue that may be causing this.

I will appreciate some guidance!

Probably an issue with the Windows Phone application itself on Mac OS X, hopefully Microsoft will update it to work on Yosemite soon. I suppose it's not possible to run some sort of virtual machine running Maverick until then?
