When will the updates be given for the Lumia 925?

Buying a Lumia 925

Thinking of buying a lumia 925, but was wondering until when the up dates will be given for it, and if it wise to buy in Jan 15 , It will be like two year since first launch in 2015

925 is a very solid performer. It will get updates. However, there are updates coming which 925 will not fully leverage due to the aging chipset.

If you don't want or need every new feature, but want a dependable Windows Phone, then the 925 fits the bill. At the end of 2013 this site listed the 925 as the best all-around Windows Phone out at the time. It has a great record for reliability and functionality. I loved mine.

If you want to be more future-proof, look at the 1520 or wait to see what the Spring announcements bring.

Carrier compatibility makes a difference as well... If you are T-MoUS, for example, then LTE use limits your choices. Certainly any branded phone works best on the network for which it was designed.
