Why isn't my Misfit Shine connecting to my phone?

I have the app downloaded on my phone, created an account, etc... But looks like the Shine doesn't want to connect via bluetooth to my phone. It finds for a blip of a second and when I tap on it to connect, it tells me it can not connect to device.

Have you tried a soft reset? Volume down + power hold. Also try forgetting the device (tap and hold on the Shine label and click forget/delete).
