Why don't movies fill entire screen? [Lumia 730]

when i play music and movies it doesnt cover the whole screen. even though i press the fullscreen on my lumia 730.352

What app are you using to play the movies?

Because you're phone has a screen resolution of 16:9, instead the movies you've downloaded are "cinema" formats and have a resolution of 2.35:1
