Why isn't my Google calendar is picking up entries from my Windows phone?

My google calendar is not picking up entries from my windows phone.

The phone will show entries made on the computer but not the other way around. There must be a simple toggle in either the phone or in google but I can't find it.

First go to Settings > email + accounts > tap the appropriate Gmail account name and make sure the box is checked to sync Calendar. (Sounds like it is since you are getting a read from the browser version updating on the phone.)

After making the Calendar entry on the phone go to: Settings > email + accounts > hold down on the appropriate Gmail account name and when the pop-up happens, tap "sync"

Also, make sure you are making calendar entries on the correct calendar. Your MS account tries to be primary unless you change it.
