Verizon upgrade for Icon

When will Verizon be pushing through their 8.1 update on their windows phone Lumina Icon? There seems to be a long delay on this upgrade and I was hoping some had more information than I do.

I am sure most of Verizon's customers along with Microsoft would love to know the answer to this as well, the updates are working for other carrriers and for people who have got fed up of waiting and bypassed the carriers and joined the developers preview but for some unknown reason some carriers seem to like making some of their customers wait without giving a proper explanation.

I hope when Windows 10 comes out MS can build in a bypass switch to stop this frustration caused by other companies.
