Is my Lumia 520 dead?

Lumia 520 dead

Last night i was talking on the phone and suddenly it switched off. I tried to power on but nothing happened. So i removed the battery and placed it again but nothing happened. I also tried the volume down and power keys combination but the result is same. Next I downloaded Nokia Software Updater but it says the phone is not supported. Please help.....lots of important data.....

Was the battery low when it switched off?

If yes...

Once you run a battery flat, the chip inside the battery goes to sleep. Plug the phone into the factory charger. It WILL take several hours for the chip in the battery to wake up. When it does, the phone will boot up automatically and normal charging will start. If this does not happen within 12 hours you have another issue. I highly suspect this and it would keep NSRT from recognizing the phone.

If this does not work contact Nokia Care.

my sister has the same phone....i tried her phone's battery but its not working....
