How do I back up my phone when my screen is dead?

screen is dead need help backing up

i dropped my nokia lumia 928 a couple of days ago and the screen is dead. I cant see anything on it and it has a pass code. I need the photos off it i know the code but i cant use the screen. am i out of luck or could my carrier help with matter?

That depends on the Terms of Service of your Carrier. In my country, for example, part replacements and repair are not fully covered by some carriers. It may be safer to go to a service center directly since you need to give specific instructions not to flash your phone and simply replace the screen. Chances are that if you go through the carrier first these specific instructions will be misplaced and you would lose all your data.

Got to love cloud backup... If your pics were set to automatically backup to OneDrive, that would be one less worry.

​Try loging into OneDrive via PC browser and see if you have a Camera Roll file. Your pics may be safe that way.
