Why don't I have Cortana on my Lumia 1020?

no cortana on my lumia 1020.

I use Lumia 1020 with wp8.1 os version 8.10.1239... (region India). I cannot find cortana on my phone. I'm supposed to be running os version 8.10.141... To get cortana. I cannot get any further updates. I tried installing "preview for developers" still cant get update. Is there any other way I can get cortana or will there be any update from Microsoft for Indian phones. Right now only 735 ,930,830 come with cortana here.

Change your region to US and im in the same boat with they would release it already!!

You need to do more then change region. Change language to American British. It will now download speech settings. Once that's done the phone will reset. After that go to settings. Swipe left and there you will see cortana
