Why isn't Cortana UK working on my Nokia Lumia 268 since the latest update (as of 20 Nov. 14)?

Cortana UK not working Nokia Lumia 268 on latest update (as of 20 Nov. 14)

Hi! I couldn't find any answers to this, so I cam here.
So I was just wandering why Cortana is not working on my phone, if you could please help or know anything about it- that would be much apreciated.

Details: When I enter "Cortana" in settings, it tells me "not available in this region". My friend has a Samsung Ativ S, and it works perfectly for him (BUT we live not only in the same region, but the same house!).

You need to switch region to USA and also language to American English then it will work. I did a step by step on how to do this

Although you can buy new phones in the UK that come with Cortana, however the bulk of the current phones have not had the release of the update, this is either the fault of the carriers (Phone companies like Vodafone) or Microsoft.

So for most of us it is a waiting game, however their are two ways around this.

1 As said change your settings to US (Region, language, keyboard etc)

2 Join the developers preview, this bypasses the carriers update system
