Why is only part of the message showing in messaging?

messaging only shows part of message

I open an incoming messge but the screen bubble only shows the first part of the message. How do I access the rest of it?

Looks like a network-related problem, where the remainder of the message is "delayed" significantly from the first part. You can verify this by counting the characters of the message you received: it should be exactly 160 characters including spaces (provided that the message does NOT contain special characters, such as "enter" or "next line" or some Greek letter). If you received 160 characters (including spaces), then it is network-related (this happens once in a while in my country for example). If you received less than 160 characters without special characters, then it must be something else.
