Why is my phone telling me to try to restore it in 269770 minutes?

Try again in 269770 minutes

My lumia 720 won't unlock.
Someone entered the wrong pin several times and i have failed to restore it back to normal.
I have read various discussions on the same. The hard and software resets wont help.
Someone please help. it's getting frustrating

Ask Microsoft or Nokia customer service.

Are you saying you tried Hard Rest or flashing the firmware and it didn't work? Then something went wrong in your process. Try again.

Or "it won't work" as in you don't want to loose your data? What's worse: loosing your data, or being locked out of your phone for 187 days?

If it went 269770 minutes... Then they locked the phone out AND kept trying after that. Bite the bullet and Hard Rest. It's the only way, but you can restore your last backup. Hopefully you are backing up to the cloud.

And then, if the person who locked up your phone is someone known to you, give them a piece of your mind so they never try that again.
