Opening docx or other documents from email or web

Hi
How can I open documents from an email or the web?
I've tried downloading files and moving them to the documents folder, but the Office app cannot open them

So am I the only person who misses this feature or are there just no one who knows how to do it?

And why on earth cant Office handle folders on the phone...

What trouble are you having exactly? When I have an email with a compatible document attached, I can tap on the attachment and it will download. Tap again and it opens in mobile Word. At that point, it will allow me to save the document to the phone or to OneDrive.
