I installed Hey Cortana but it is disabled, how do I get it to work?

Hey Cortana installed but disabled

I got hey cortana installed a couple days ago on my Lumia 930 but can't get it activated. It keeps on telling me that it is not available for my phone. Anyone the same problem? Region and language etc are set to US.

Hey Cortana will not be a feature until you get the Denim update.

I'm not sure what you "installed" but "Hey Cortana" is not an app in and of itself. If you changed region to get Cortana, you won't get voice activation until Denim hits the 930.

And as far as I am aware (Thanks to another post) Hey Cortana will only be available for the 930 and 1520.

I got this one installed last week via a phone update. Had to restart the phone as usual. Then after checking I found this app, but still Cyan Firmware. So that's kinda weird.

I am not running the Developer Preview.

Possibly you got a preparatory update... They often send small fixes before a full update...

930 is rumored to be the first phone to get Denim (other than new models which have it preinstalled).
