Does your annotations on PDFs and PowerPoints disappear even after you save it?

I take notes on my surface with the stylus. I write notes on the PDF files themselves and on the PowerPoint slides themselves. There was an incident where the annotations disappeared but I thought it was because I didn't save it. So this time I saved it twice. The annotations still disappeared the next time I accessed the files. Is anyone else having a problem like this?

Hmm I'm not having that problem. All my annotations save. I'm using Office 365.
