Why does my sound notification in calendar stops after a few seconds?

I have a Lumia 630, and found out that the sound alert of an event in a calendar only continues a few seconds and then stops, regardless of the melody selected. Is there a way to make it play until full melody is finished or I stop it?

No, you can't, as it's been designed that way. Use the built in alarm or download a timer app to get a longer sound.
