Using Avast for a start up scan on a Dell Venue Windows 8 tablet, how do I get rid of a virus that was detected?

Using Avast for a start up scan on a Dell Venue Windows 8 tablet.

I loaded Avast anti-virus software onto my Dell Venue Windows 8 tablet. I started a boot up scan. When the first virus was detected I could not select a resolution since there was no keyboard capability.

It should be a drop down menu when you click (tap) the default action... I can't imagine having to type the name of the action by hand. What if you guess wrong as to what they call it?
