why do i and my daughter receive each others messages on nokia lumia 520 and 630

i gave my daughter my nokia lumia 520 when hers broke. I have a lumia 630 but we receive each others messages.

Do you use the same hotmail/outlook account on both phones?

I assume you are logged in on both devices with the same Microsoft account? If yes, the message duplicating probably comes from the backup getting synced.

Deactivate SMS backups. Or better: 2 people, 2 accounts.
