Windows Central Question

is there a legal way to install Windows Phone 8.1 on an Android device?

I have a 2014 Moto X, & I was just wondering if I could put the Windows phone 8.1 operating system on my device. I would like to have the best of both worlds.

Well, I don't think that you can't do that, 'cause the file system is not the same.

It has nothing to do with Legal...

Everything to do with technical...

The answer is still no...

Re: is there a legal way to install Windows Phone 8.1 on an Android device?

And is there is a way to install Windows 8 on an Android tablet?

Again, the answer is no. In the case of tables, all android tablets are ARM based, which means you could install windows rt. Decent x86 windows tablets are plentiful and can be inexpensive. You'd be much further ahead to buy a windows tablet.

I'm sure there is a way to install Windows 8 on an android tablet. My classmate did that on his tablet! He showed me playing the league of legends on that device, and it's amazingly smooth!

I foud out that there is a way of installing Windows 8 on Android tablet by using "change my software 8"

I saw this ages ago. It's fake, especially when it requires a survey to download it, so avoid it! :-)

Even if you could install Windows on an existing tablet, I'm not sure why you'd want to. Again, you'd be limited to Windows RT, and few people enjoy that, look how well it sold in the open market. It's not like your only other option is a $1300 Surface Pro 3... there are dozens of inexpensive and nice small Windows tablets in the market.

I call shenanigans.

And market success doesn't always mean its worse or better. (cough webOS cough)
Windows RT doesn't seem great, bur then again Android and iOS don't run legacy Windows programs anyway.

I have purchased a cow for the express purpose of getting it to lay eggs...

I'll YouTube my results. That's a billion and half clicks right there.
