Have I broken my front camera on my Nokia 1520?

Replacing the front camera on Nokia 1520

I was replacing the screen on my lumia 1520, and accidentally pinched a wire on the front facing camera. Really easy to replace aside from this and fussing with the battery.

So, now when I launch camera and select front camera it quits and returns to the apps list. I opened it up and wiggled things a bit, now it just opens to a black screen.

Has anyone experienced this? any suggestions?

but pinching a wire on the cam means u have to replace it

I disassemble mine twice didn't remember how the front cam look. u could check YouTube an see disassembly videos to see if its a DIY

the how to vids on youtube are informative, however they do not ever remove the front camera. I have seen a couple of sites that sell the part. Thus my question. how is it removed from the main board? Can it be repaired?

its solder down should be quick fix. using heat
