How do I fix an Unresponsive Power Button (Lumia 625)?

Unresponsive Power Button (Lumia 625)

Hey guys, I have an issue with my Lumia 625's power button. Pressing the button when the phone is locked does not bring up the password screen / unlock screen. Inversely, when the phone is unlocked, pressing the button does lock the phone.

I tried fixing the issue using the one touch lock screen app, but when i use the app, it just crashes.

Soft-resetting only fixes the problem for a few minutes.

Highly appreciate any input or suggestions on this.

Ask Microsoft store for a replacement. Sounds like a hardware problem and I don't think you could fix it.

thanks for this. by hardware problem, do you mean it's an internal problem? cause the power button works if I need to turn off the phone, but if I use it to lock the screen, it wont respond.

other than replacing the device, would you recommend a hard reset? soft resetting only fixes the problem for a few minutes.

Why not try double tap to open in settings. Leave the phone always but on standby, but double tap to wake up instead of using lock button.
