Why can't we send a delayed message?

So I was wondering, way can't we send messages at a certain time, rather then at that moment? I was texting a friend, after realizing that it was 3AM I wondered if I could delay the message until around 8AM? I think It would be a really helpful feature.

If you typed up a message and backed out of the app, providing a recipient(s) has been added then it will be saved as draft

Next time you go to send a text message to i.e Contact A, the message will still be there and all you have to is press send. However if the composed message has no recipient then the text message will be lost if you back out of the messaging app.

Seem's niche-y, but I think it'll be nice if tied into Cortana's time-based things.
