I believe there are legal issues involved with telephone call recording. May I ask what circumstances require you to record phone calls? I honestly cannot think of any offhand.

I think the fallacy here is that the phone or OS maker is supplying this feature. I've used android quite a bit, my wife insists on using Samsung (I still love her anyway) and I troubleshoot and maintain her phones.

I've never yet seen a call recorder as native.

You are thinking of Apps that enable this. Apps made by 3rd Party Developers.

And as previously stated, recording calls is of questionable legality and morality. Particularly if the person being recorded has no knowledge of that and has not consented.
