Windows Central Question

As simple a future in today's world. I don't understand why I had tap to wake on a 989 but it's sibling that came out after it and is supposed to be an upgrade (the 929) does not have tap to wake. Is there any way to get it? I have win 8.1 developers preview installed. Latest build.

No offense but this subject was discussed ad nauseam months ago. It should not be a surprise -you could have known about it with even minimal pre purchase research. No it is not available and no there is no fix. It is related to the type of display technology used in the Icon which is simply not compatible with Glance, This was also never hidden - been front and center from the start....

Harrie,

Double Tap to Wake & Glance Screen are both tied to the same screen technology (screen memory) which Icon lacks. You get both or none.

The 929 Doesn't have tap to wake, it doesn't make sense that the 930 does and 929 doesn't -_-. I wish there was a fix for this. Does anyone think denim will fix once it is released?
