How do I get my Windows Phone App working?

Windows Phone App Not Working!!

Hi, I'm running Mac OS X Yosemite on my rMBP and I have a Nokia Lumia 925. To connect the devices together, I use the Windows Phone App, usually. But after the upgrade to a new mac, the app just doesnt work anymore! Opening the app results in... nothing! The main window for the app does not even appear, let alone syncing issues! Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? If so, how should I transfer my photos from the phone to the computer, and the iTunes playlists to the phone?
