Adding Custom Albums to Photos

Yes, there is. All you need is to create your custom images folder using a file management app (such as Microsoft's Files) or software (i.e. connecting your phone to a computer and creating the folder through Windows Explorer). Create your folder under Phone > Pictures. Once you've created your folder and placed some photos in it, you should see it in your Photo Hub.

That is helpful, but should be nice to go in photos hub and select a bunch of photos and create an album direct from there
