Nah, probably not.

But I'd recommend it though as insurance and protection from the minor scratches.

Some people have complained of light scratching to the edges of the screen on the 730/735, so perhaps for that reason a screen protector should be used.

I use one on my L735, and it doesn't seem to affect sensitivity. I probably could do without it, but I like to keep my phones as pristine as possible just in case I decide to sell them later.

I am using 730 for almost 2 months now and its completely scratch-proof, IMO. So, you basically do not need a protector, but if you fear of scratches, you can go for it.

I believe phones are like people...

​They should not leave their house naked. It's just asking for trouble.
