What is the difference between Country variant & the unlocked phone?

what Does the diff between Country variant & the unlocked phone ??

& if there is a diff, what is the effect on the updates ?

Different regions have different updates. For example my friend bought a euro 820 developer phone and the euro version has a different keyboard layout. Some varients have Cortana some don't yet, ECT. You can change the to to your region. Each region will have slight differences.

Also your updates will follow the schedule for that region (which could mean earlier or later depending on what region it is).

The CV doesn't have to go through carrier approval, basically vanilla firmware.

So if an update is available in cv mobile .. Do the same version at the same region and unlocked .. Get the update too ?!

Just my guess...

All Country Variants for a model update at the same time as a whole Regional group. Unless there is some conflict with firmware in a certain Country, that one CV might be held back - that might be due to radio firmware for example.

A developer phone is a special case... Developer phones are their own Region, no matter where they reside and also update as a group, I believe.
