If you go to default calendar and press the overflow menu, there you'll find Tasks, it's a separate app from Calendar. It's simple and neat, and its built in. I wonder if there is a way to make a direct link, a live tile which will directly open this app from start screen? You know there is an app that can open Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/lock screen settings directly from start screen.. So is there a way? Or can someone make an app that act as direct link?

What is it that makes you think that tasks is a stand alone app? It's not. It's part of the calendar app. It's just not a pivot or something, but tapping on the tasks link in the bottom app bar simply triggers an navigate to event, which then loads another page.

If you go to tasks and go to the multitasking view, you can see both tasks and calendar as two separate apps
