How to reset Venue 8 Pro if I cannot boot?

Hello, my V8P crashed after removing the recovery partition that was backed up onto a USB drive. I got a screen telling me that windows needs to be restored. So I booted from the USB and entered the recovery thing, and after attempting to reset the PC it says "there was an error resetting this PC". Can anybody help me resolve this issue? Thanks,
