Why microSD card is not detectable by Lumia735?

[Windows Central Question]

Samsung 16GB microSDHC class 10 card is placed into the phone. This is the first time to use SD card in this phone. Before the intallation the card was formatted according to MS recommendation, namely FAT32 and 32kbyte units.
The card can be seen by another phone (android), but not this WP.
What can be the problem? Whether the phone has hardwer failure or this card type is not suitable for Lumia 735?

Silly question but have you inserted it the correct way up?

My L735 has no problem reading Samsung cards - class10, UHS, class 6, class 4, 8GB, 16GB 32GB... it recognises them all. Unlike the Moto G 4G I once owned.

If it is inserted the correct way up, then try formatting it from within the phone:
Open Storage Sense
Click SD Card
Scroll to the bottom and select Format SD card.

[Of course, if the phone can't actually see the card at all, then this won't work...]
