Did anyone else lose the photos in the latest update?

Nokia updated my phone on 12/26/2014 which completely drained my newly charged phone. When the update was finished, every single photo was gone from my phone. I went to Verizon who said it was not their update, call Nokia. Nokia employs no one who is an English speaking person. After over an hour on the phone with Nokia rep, no photos are available on my phone. They are all completely gone. I told the rep they had done more to promote the i-phone than any other advertising, especially since my contract is up in January.

I don't get it... what does any of that have to do with your missing photos?
