How do I get rid of a blue line that is appearing from the top to bottom of the screen?

Blue Line from top to bottom of screen

Even after a soft reboot the line persists. the line is evident immediately the phone is started. Otherwise the phone works as it should. The phone was a gift on christmas day and did not have the line on first start up. It appeared after a recharge. Lumia 735.

If it's brand new I'd return it for a replacement.
