[L925] How can I save all text messages?

My Lumia 925 has a fault so I need to use the recovery app but I really need to make sure all my text messages are safe before I clear my phone as they are for my business. It says that OneDrive saves txts but has anyone else tried it...does it work??
If not can anyone offer a guaranteed solution to storing my txt messages.

Ask your carrier if they can restore your msm. Some of them can. But as you indicated it is a SETTING in backup so it should work if you backup works.

One Drive backup work perfectly (Settings > backup ..you'll fight the rest).

Would it be possible to find a cheapo prepaid WP (preferably running the same version as your 925, 8 or 8.1) in your area? Amazon (US) has the 520 (AT&T version) for $30. Sign in with the same account and wait a bit and your messages will populate as everything restores. Easy way to verify the cloud is, in fact, backing things up.

(BTW, I'm on the app, so if you have a location entered, I'm not seeing it anyway)

I factory reset my 920 several times and recently switched to a new phone. All of my messages restored without issue.

I have had no problems myself either, but if the OP *needs* the messages for work it would be a bad time for them to find a glitch in their account.

Pretty sure I've seen various reports of backup problems before so I don't blame them for checking. Even if it works for 99.9% of us...with probably hundreds of millions total WP8 devices shipped, that's a lot of unhappy people.

YOu can find SMS Banker in the WP Store. It works great.
