Why isn't the Lumia Play to App on my Lumia 720 unable to find my laptop?

No device found error using Lumia Play to App in Lumia 720

I have installed Lumia Play to App in Lumia 720 Phone Memory and also activated all the streaming options in Windows Media Player in my Windows 7 laptop. However, the Lumia Play To app cannot find my laptop , although both are connected in the same Wifi. Please help me in this regard.

Did you already check firewall or anti-virus settings.

Yes just for testing, I turned off all the firewalls for home and public networks. But no luck!!
