Why isn't my search button lighting up?

Search Button Not Lighting Up

As I was browsing the app store, my 1020 froze and the backlighting for the search button at the bottom of the phone flickered out. The back and home buttons are still lit, but dimly. Is there anything to be done about this?

If a simple reboot or soft reset didn't fix it, you will have to send it in for repair. If having backlit buttons is that important for you. I doubt it's software related though.
