Im not getting mtp mode when i connect my lumia 630 to my laptop?

I bought a lumia 630 phone few days ago. when i connected to my laptop im getting a camera like icon says that transfer pictures.

Im not getting a storage mode at all.

I have an old laptop(core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 128mb vga video memory,no graphics) which only supports windows xp.

I know that a windows phone app can solve this in win 7 or higher versions. But i cant install any other OS. Its becomes very unstable.

So is there any other way to solve this problem . Someone please help me

Zune does nothing for WP8 phones.

I saw this same thing in an earlier thread.

But actually though, I think you should consider getting another PC capable of 7 or higher.
Heck, even a super-outdated one can work, depending though.

The Zune was not for the phone but for the XP-computer.

Thank you harrie, it works. I just installed zune and did nothing. now I'm getting mtp mode when i connect my lumia 630:smile:
